sure i like its sound. just heard someone at a concert last week. really soothing. almost put me to sleep.
i do have one question. so u use ur left hand to pull on the string n that determines the pitch huna. wouldn't ur fingers be all ripped up from pulling on the thin strings so much : |

aww yea pulling the strings digs into your skin and you end up with a sore string line on ure finger when you first play.
Then if you carry on playing you then get dead skin which is a bit better cos it doesn't hurt so much. And then if you practise loads you get like a string indent with proper scary looking hard skin. lol. |

that might be the reason i might start learning sitar
but then again cant find teacher or the instrument  |

Hey Gurdev Singh is teaching in Birmingham at the moment, he can teach Sitar, Dilruba, Sarod, Sarangi...... the list goes on!
